Job Overview:

The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process of goods and services for the organization. The role involves identifying sources of supply, negotiating with vendors, maintaining relationships with existing suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that meet organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research potential vendors and suppliers to discover the most cost-effective deals that meet the organization's requirements
• Negotiate contracts and prices with vendors and suppliers to maintain the best possible purchasing terms
• Prepare and issue purchase orders for goods and services as well as track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
• Develop and maintain relations with vendors and ensure continuous supply of required goods and services
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure availability of stock for upcoming business needs
• Develop purchasing strategies that are sustainable and align with the company goals

• Perform market research to keep abreast of pricing fluctuation, market trends, new products, and supply sources
• Ensure compliance with all procedural and regulatory guidelines issued by the organization in making procurement decisions
• Facilitate communication with other departments to align procurement goals with business needs
• Evaluate supplier performance based on product quality, delivery time, and customer service.
• Manage and update procurement databases to maintain accurate financial records and purchase information


Requirements

Required skills

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software is a plus


Preferred Skills:
Work with Office Automation tools – MS Office Tools. Tally
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good documentation skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
